Bosch integrates original circuit diagrams into Esitronic 2.0 Online diagnostic software right from the vehicle manufacturer

Bosch is currently upgrading and significantly augmenting its Esitronic 2.0 Online diagnostic software by integrating vehicle manufacturers´ original circuit diagrams. In their familiar Esitronic environment, therefore, independent workshops can now consult the same detailed information as authorized repair shops. Integrating them into Esitronic means there is no longer any need for inquiries on the various manufacturers’ portals, which have usually been fee-based up to now.

Bosch began the integration work back in August, and has been continuously adding retrievable original circuit diagrams to its database ever since. Preparations are currently underway to include further circuit diagrams in Esitronic, including for models made by Ford, VW, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Renault, among others.

In the course of regular updates, the new data will be automatically made available to Esitronic users as part of their already existing license.

Manufacturers´ original circuit diagrams linked with Esitronic functionality

For use in the Esitronic 2.0 Online diagnostic software, manufacturers´ original circuit diagrams are not simply copied one for one, but also revised, adapted, and integrated into the familiar diagnostic software environment. Component names, for example, are brought into line with familiar Bosch terminology, and standardized across all brands. When switching to a different make, therefore, Esitronic users do not have to reorient themselves. The familiar Esitronic links and special functions (such as mouse-over) are also transferred to the circuit diagrams. In this way, a user can switch directly from the circuit diagram to a description of position, instructions for removal and installation, and troubleshooting instructions. Yet thanks to the original layout, the degree of detail provided by the vehicle manufacturers´ circuit diagrams remains unaffected.

Manufacturers´ original circuit diagrams are being integrated brand by brand

When integrating the original circuit diagrams into Esitronic, Bosch is using a modern method for automating data production. This allows manufacturers´ data to be quickly incorporated and made available for workshops.

As this move to make data accessible results from a recent EU directive and relates to the EU, vehicle manufacturers outside the EU may impose national restrictions on the integration of their information into Esitronic.

About Bosch Esitronic

For many years now, Esitronic diagnostic software has been a valuable aid for mechanics above all in independent and multibrand workshops, providing up-to-date diagnostic data, troubleshooting hints, and removal and installation instructions for maintenance and repair work. Regular updates ensure that the workshop is always up to date, and can efficiently service and repair even the latest vehicle models. This integration of original circuit diagrams adds further information to the Esitronic database – information that is extremely relevant for workshops.
